FEMENINO SINGULAR

After more than 20 releases as Not a Headliner, José consolidates his real-name identity with his second release. Four tracks, 28 minutes. José's first record under his own name. Femenino Singular is José's first record under his own name, following more than 20 releases as not a headliner and an earlier take on the project with not a headliner presents José. That same gesture moves with the record itself: side A happens at night, side B in the morning, and what the titles hint at shifts with that transition. Built with real instruments - bass, guitar, percussion, synths - reaching for a swing that breaks away from a machine's quantized grid, somewhere between house and techno.
